Simply...Woman Retreat – Your Second Act 

Medical Disclaimer

The information, education, coaching, discussions, activities, and experiences provided during Crystal Andrus Morissette's Simply...Woman "Your Second Act" Retreat (the "Retreat") are intended for educational and personal development purposes only.

Nothing presented before, during, or after the Retreat is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other health condition, nor is it intended to replace the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of a qualified healthcare professional.

Participants should consult their physician, therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other qualified healthcare provider regarding any physical, mental, or emotional concerns. Participants should never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of information shared during the Retreat.

Registration, Payment & Cancellation Policy

Due to the intimate nature of the Retreat and the limited number of participant spaces available, all registrations are final.

All Retreat fees are non-refundable.

Full payment must be received prior to attendance.

If a Participant is unable to attend, they may request to transfer their registration to another individual. Any transfer must be approved in writing by Crystal Andrus Productions prior to the Retreat. Crystal Andrus Productions reserves the sole discretion to approve or decline any transfer request.

Crystal Andrus Productions reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, relocate, or modify the Retreat due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, emergencies, venue issues, or other unforeseen events. Should the Retreat be cancelled by Crystal Andrus Productions, any refund or transfer option will be determined at its sole discretion.

Accommodation, Travel & Personal Responsibility

Participants registering for the Tier 2 – Your Second Act Weekend Retreat are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations, if required.

Crystal Andrus Productions does not provide accommodation as part of this package and is not responsible for any accommodation selected by the Participant.

The Participant is solely responsible for:

• arranging and paying for all transportation to and from the Retreat;

• arranging and paying for any accommodations they choose to book;

• complying with the policies of any accommodation provider they select;

• all meals, beverages, and personal expenses not expressly included in the Retreat package;

• their own health, wellbeing, medications, valuables, personal belongings, and conduct throughout the Retreat weekend.

Crystal Andrus Productions assumes no responsibility or liability for accommodation arrangements made independently by the Participant, including reservations, cancellations, refunds, property conditions, services provided by third-party accommodation providers, or any loss, injury, illness, damage, or expense arising from such accommodations.

Assumption of Risk

The Participant acknowledges that participation in the Retreat is entirely voluntary.

The Participant understands that Retreat activities may include emotional discussions, coaching, movement, walking, outdoor activities, stairs, uneven ground, and other experiences that carry inherent risks.

The Participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in the Retreat and accepts full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense that may result.

Participant Conduct

Crystal Andrus Productions is committed to providing a respectful, supportive, and safe environment for all participants.

Participants agree to conduct themselves respectfully toward fellow participants, staff, volunteers, speakers, and the Retreat property.

Crystal Andrus Productions reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any Participant from the Retreat without refund if their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intoxicated, unsafe, illegal, or otherwise negatively impacts the experience, wellbeing, or safety of others.

Photography & Media Release

The Participant understands that photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, testimonials, and other media may be captured during the Retreat.

Unless the Participant provides written notice to Crystal Andrus Productions before the Retreat begins requesting not to be identifiable in promotional materials, the Participant grants Crystal Andrus Productions the irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use such photographs, recordings, testimonials, and likeness for educational, promotional, marketing, social media, website, and other business purposes without compensation.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Participant releases, waives, indemnifies, and holds harmless Crystal Andrus Morissette, Crystal Andrus Productions, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, facilitators, speakers, representatives, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, actions, costs, expenses, or legal proceedings arising directly or indirectly from:

• participation in the Retreat;

• travel to or from the Retreat;

• accommodation arranged independently by the Participant;

• participation in any Retreat activities;

• injuries, illness, emotional distress, property loss, theft, or damages;

• decisions or actions taken by the Participant before, during, or after the Retreat.

This release applies whether any claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence where permitted by law), statute, or otherwise.

Force Majeure

Crystal Andrus Productions shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, modification, or inability to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, pandemic, epidemic, government action, labour disputes, transportation interruptions, severe weather, utility failures, venue closures, illness, or other emergencies.

Governing Law

These Terms & Policies shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

The Participant agrees that any dispute arising from these Terms & Policies or participation in the Retreat shall be brought exclusively before the courts of the Province of Ontario, and the Participant irrevocably attorns to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Acknowledgement

By completing registration and submitting payment, the Participant acknowledges that they have carefully read these Terms & Policies, understand them, and voluntarily agree to be legally bound by them.

The Participant further acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to seek independent legal advice before accepting these Terms & Policies.
