Dr. Sarah Hawthorn, BAS, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor, who supports our students in Module One. Dr. Sarah completed her undergraduate honours degree at the University of Guelph in Biomedical Science and Music. She then went on to complete the four year naturopathic medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM).

Yvonne MacRae, RD, CDE is our Dean and Professor of Nutrition & Physiology. She has been working in chronic disease prevention and management for over 15 years as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. Her passion is to empower women to attain optimal nutrition intake, health and wellness.


Mary Joan Brinson, MSW, RSW is our Professor of Psychology. She is a skilled and compassionate therapist with over 20 years experience of helping women and their families to achieve a sense of happiness, freedom and balance in their lives. She also has a deep commitment to supporting women in their journey of motherhood.


Elizabeth Gorostiza is the Assistant Professor of Module Three (The Business Behind the Business), Lizi is passionate about education and believes learning is a lifelong process. She holds three advanced degrees: A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude with high honors & distinctions, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Education. She is a Certified Paralegal and a Family Mediator.


Priya Sharma, M.Ed, CCC is the Assistant Professor of Psychology. Priya has experience working in the areas of personal and career counseling and has dealt with several issues with trauma, body image, eating disorder, depression, anxiety and loss of work. She has a strong passion to help people find their strength and believes in using a holistic approach.


Beverly Pickard – Professor of Women’s Health and Wellness, Beverly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in Sociology, as well as graduating with top marks as a S.W.A.T. Certified Coach. She is a certified group exercise and yoga instructor in Southern Ontario Canada, where she lives with her three children and cat ‘LiLac’.


Izabela Viskupova, L.L.M., M.A. – Izabela is our Professor of Coaching. Her passion is to work with women who have reached a plateau and want to take their life to another level in the straightest line possible. Apart from being a S.W.A.T. Certified Empowerment Coach, she is a Strategic Interventionist and has an extensive academic background in both Psychology and Law. She holds a certificate in person-centered counselling.

Aaron Morissette – Aaron spent ten years in post-secondary education, studying Theology and Philosophy at the University of Toronto, before graduating with Honors in Operations Management, while also completing his CITT designation. After leaving a management position at General Motors, he became the Director of Operations for Crystal Andrus Productions Inc. and is the CFO for The S.W.A.T. Institute. He is also married to Crystal Andrus.


Marta Stanczyk – Student Advisor at The S.W.A.T. Institute, Marta joined the team shortly after graduating with 97% average. Her extensive education includes CGA courses, University of Winnipeg, CPA certification and two honor’s diplomas. Marta loves to indulge her curiosity and desire to understand the complexity and beauty of human behavior. She is a published writer and aspiring poet.


Madelaine Dantas – After graduating with a 4.5 GPA in Public Relations, Madelaine Dantas went on to do work for the Children’s Wish Foundation, and the Abilities Centre. She was the Managing Editor of her schools Alumni Magazine called Reflections, which was distributed to over 80,000 graduates, as well as a chair on her program’s fundraising committee. With a specific interest in nutrition and self-help, Madelaine felt the S.W.A.T. Institute was the perfect fit for her. She is now the Editor for Simply Woman Magazine, as well as Crystal Andrus Morissette’s Executive Assistant. She is also Crystal’s daughter.
