Crystal Andrus Morissette has been working with women for more than 30 years. She is the author of Simply…Woman! and Simply…EMPOWERED! (Hay House) and The Emotional Edge (Penguin Random House), and her Emotional Age Quiz was featured on Oprah.com.

What you are looking at
The way a woman communicates rises from Passive through Passive-Aggressive and Aggressive to Assertive, where courage begins, and on to Accepting, Loving, Joyous and Peaceful. On either side are the Parent (Mother Energy) and the Child (Daughter Energy), each with its own sub-archetypes. Above them is the Adult — Woman Energy™, the Real Self.
What you learn to recognise
Which part is speaking — Parent, Child or Adult — the emotion underneath it, and how a woman can swing between two opposing parts. You learn to hear it in a voice, in the words she chooses and in her body, before any strategy.
How you use it
In your own life and with clients, you use the F.R.E.E. Process™ — Feel, Regulate, Emote, Elevate — to regulate toward centre and elevate upward, so every part can be heard while the Adult/Real Self leads. This is the work of Healing the Split™.

Begin at the root, where shame, guilt, apathy, and grief can keep a woman disconnected from her power. Red is primal: it can communicate strength, passion, courage, and vitality — or danger, aggression, and urgency when overused. Here, you'll reconnect with your body, understand the patterns that have protected you, and build the self-trust to stand firmly in who you are. As a coach, you'll learn to meet women in vulnerable emotions without judging, fixing, or rescuing; for your clients, you become a grounded presence where truth can finally feel safe. From fear comes desire; from desire, anger; from anger, pride — and suddenly there is movement. Orange can feel warm, creative, playful, social, and alive — but too much can feel loud, immature, or less sophisticated. Here, you'll explore what you want, what you've been afraid to want, and what happens when you give yourself permission to feel fully again. As a coach, you'll learn to recognize the emotional energy beneath a woman's choices; for your clients, you'll help turn fear and frustration into awareness and forward motion. This is the turning point: courage and neutrality. Yellow can communicate optimism, confidence, clarity, and visibility — yet too much can become cautionary, anxious, or overstimulating. Here, you'll strengthen your boundaries, decision-making, leadership, and ability to act from truth rather than fear. As a coach, you'll master the Empowerment Coaching principles, processes, and interventions that move women from stuck to self-led; for your clients, you become the coach who can remain grounded and neutral enough to help them find their own answers. Willingness opens the door; acceptance changes everything. Green can communicate growth, harmony, health, renewal, and abundance — although the wrong shade can feel bland, overly earthy, or disconnected from the sophistication of your brand. Here, you'll discover how what you've lived may have prepared you to serve someone else. As a coach, willingness and acceptance allow you to hold compassionate space without fixing or forcing; for your clients, they create room for real change without shame. And in your business, heart meets strategy as you discover your niche, ideal client, message, brand personality, colours, and the emotional experience you want women to have when they encounter your work.

Joy and peace change the way you see everything. Indigo can communicate wisdom, intuition, depth, insight, and vision — yet taken too far, it can feel mysterious, inaccessible, or more “woo” than your ideal client is ready for. Here, you'll integrate everything you've learned and deepen your trust in your own knowing. As a coach, your 30 mentorship coaching calls, practice, and feedback move you from knowing the tools to embodying them; for your clients, you learn to listen beneath the words, recognize patterns, and hold space for possibility without taking away their power. Your business vision sharpens too as your offers, client experience, direction, and bigger purpose come into focus.

At the crown sits enlightenment — a deeper understanding of yourself, your work, and the interconnectedness of it all. White can communicate clarity, simplicity, sophistication, spaciousness, and possibility — but without warmth or contrast, it can also feel sterile, empty, or impersonal. Here, the woman, the coach, and the entrepreneur come together. You'll complete your certification, integrate your coaching mastery, and finalize the foundations of your website, brand, offers, systems, client journey, marketing, and vision. Your clients receive a coach who has done her own work and knows how to guide others through theirs. You graduate with far more than a certificate — you leave as a Master Empowerment Coach with a business taking shape, a body of work to share, and a global sisterhood beside you.
Your Scope of Practice — and When to Refer
Empowerment Coaching is coaching. It is not therapy, counselling or clinical treatment, and MECC graduates are not licensed therapists or medical professionals unless they hold a separate credential. Part of becoming a skilled coach is knowing clearly what coaching can offer — and what it can’t.

The Fundamentals of Empowerment Coaching
The three foundations — coach from the body; emotions first, strategy second; working with parts — together with your scope of practice and a “bridge script” for referring a client out with care.
When You Refer
When a client needs diagnosis, treatment or clinical support — for example around mental health, trauma or medical concerns — you refer her to a licensed therapist, physician or specialist, and you know how to have that conversation kindly.
You are not just learning techniques. You are learning to hold clear, ethical boundaries — so the women you coach are safe with you.
